This sketch is based on a photo I found in Urban Spaces by David Specter. This space is significant because of its relation to human scale. The people sit, stand and crowd all over it. It has an embracing quality due to its minimal size and simplicity. I doubt it would be as effective it were expanded four times.
"Finding" color in a black and white photograph was fun and challenging.
